Be Enthusiastic!

In 1994, a host of diseases threatened his life. Seventy doctors in seven nations tried to help, and hundreds of treatments were followed, but his condition grew worse. His weight dropped from 180 to 104 pounds. Then he decided that God must have some significant things to say about health, since He is the One Who made us. He discovered Biblical answers, which he followed, and within four months his health had been restored! As he enthusiastically told friends and others about what God had done in His life, the news spread like wildfire. He even wrote his story in a book and millions of copies of it have been sold.

When we find answers and enthusiastically share them with others, they will want to experience the same results.

To be an effective discipler, we must be enthusiastic, and others must see Christ's commands working in our lives. Enthusiasm is God's energy in our spirits expressing itself through the mind, will, and emotions. We may be experiencing sorrow, but our spirits can still rejoice. Believers are to “... worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus ...” (Philippians 3:3), “rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4), and “rejoice evermore” (I Thessalonians 5:16).

Enthusiasm is contagious. Whatever we are excited about and interested in we tend to share with others, and as a result they begin to share in our enthusiasm. How has your life been impacted by keeping these commands of Christ before your eyes during the past months? Many of you have shared with me the great spiritual benefits you have received as a result of your study of Christ's commands and meditation upon them. * How Jesus has revealed more of His nature and work to you through His commands. (See John 14:21.)

* How Jesus has increased His love in and through you. (See I John 2:5.)

* How God has answered your prayers according to His will. (See I John 3:22.)

Maintaining enthusiasm requires continuous fellowship with the Spirit of God through the Word of God.

When you introduce others to the Daily Success program, they can begin to receive daily encouragement from the Word of God that will aid them in becoming Christ's disciples. Today, the floods of sin and iniquity in the world are overwhelming many believers. God's answer is to “exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:13).
